Egg-stra Special

The girls took advantage of the rain, and decided to dye Easter eggs this afternoon.

Be careful not to squeeze the eggs...haha...the look on Kacey's face was priceless when she squeezed too hard and it split!

Sheesh - they have way too many fancy egg coloring kits - the Target shelves were loaded with the glittery, the tie dye, the stickers, etc. Admittedly, I am in my 50's, but the only ones I remember were the Paz kits that you had to use vinegar to set the color.

LOL! The dye I remember using was the one that was 3 colors (red, yellow & blue) and they came in a bottle shaped like a rabbit. You used them to swirl and make colors. They were the best dyes! I've always used the vinegar ones with the girls but this year I saw the marble one and the paint dries instantly. I didn't think it would work but I must say the eggs were beautiful AND dry instantly! :D
